Connor Heyward Wears Multiple Hats In Raiders Offense

Fullback Connor Heyward is executing a versatile role in Las Vegas, handling blocking duties on special teams while protecting quarterback Kirk Cousins and contributing to the running game. During Week 1 against Miami, he utilized play-action fakes by faking a handoff to freeze linebacker Jacob Rodriguez and set up chip blocks for touchdown passes to Ashton Jeanty. Head coach Klint Kubiak values Heyward's blocking mentality from his Pittsburgh Steelers days, deploying him in specific personnel groups like 21 and 22 men formations that have proven effective against defenses.
