Colts Owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon Uses Headset On Sideline

Carlie Irsay-Gordon has taken an active role on the sideline during NFL games, often wearing a headset to listen to play calls. She became principal owner and CEO of the Indianapolis Colts in May 2025 after her father Jim Irsay passed away.

Irsay-Gordon co-owns the team with her sisters Casey Fot and Kalen Jackson. Although she does not influence on-field decisions, she uses a headset to learn how the franchise operates as a complex organization. She has been seen standing near players during games like Week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens in the 2026 season.

She also carries a play sheet or takes notes while observing operations. Irsay-Gordon stated that being on the headset helps her verify if coaches know what they are talking about and prevents them from misleading her with false information.
