The Philippine Air Force confirmed that two SF-260 training aircraft collided mid-air at Fernando Air Base in Batangas, killing all four pilots on board. The crash occurred during a training exercise within the base perimeter on Friday afternoon, with no additional casualties reported outside the plane wreckage. Colonel Alvin Capinguian stated both planes spiraled out of control before crashing inside the airfield boundaries. An official investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the incident, and the fleet of SF-260 aircraft has been temporarily grounded as a precautionary measure.
