AP Poll Shows SEC Chaos Amidst Few Ranked Matchups

Week 5 of the college football season featured only three matchups between ranked opponents, yet it delivered significant movement in the new AP Top 25 poll. Missouri made the biggest leap after defeating Florida 45-17, while Alabama moved up one spot to No. 6 despite a dominant win over Mississippi State. Defending national champion Indiana dropped a position following its road victory at Rutgers. Ole Miss stayed at No. 9 during a bye week, and LSU advanced from No. 8 to No. 10 after beating McNeese.
