Verity Opens Strong at $32M; Digger Starts Lowest for Cruise in Years

Amazon MGM's Colleen Hoover thriller Verity grossed $4.5 million in previews and is on track to debut with over $30 million, marking Anne Hathaway's third top-grossing opening of the year. While critics received mixed reviews compared to previous adaptations, audience scores remain high across Hoover's filmography. In contrast, Tom Cruise's Digger collected only $1.2 million in previews and is projected to open between $10 million and $15 million, representing his lowest box office start in 19 years.
