FSU Removes Top Recruit Chuck Kennon After Arrest

Florida State University has removed defensive back Chuck Kennon from its football roster following his arrest for conduct detrimental to the team, according to an FSU spokesperson. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office posted details regarding Kennon's detention on social media. Kennon was stripped of his position just a week after running back Gemari Sands was also removed without explanation. Despite receiving minimal playing time with only one snap recorded against Virginia earlier in the season, Kennon had been hailed as FSU's highest-rated signee from last year's recruiting class and represented a major victory for coach Norvell over numerous other programs.
