Milroe named Seahawks No. 2 QB as Drew Lock sits out

The Seattle Seahawks will field a new backup quarterback for their Week 7 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, with second-year signal-caller Jalen Milroe serving behind Sam Darnold after incumbent Drew Lock was ruled inactive due to an elbow injury. While Lock remains on the active roster as the emergency third option, he is not participating in practice or game action, a decision that leaves rookie Milroe—unseen during regular-season play but with three preseason starts—as the primary reserve.
