Cam Heyward Criticizes NFL Refs Over Mahomes and Hurts Penalties

Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Cam Heyward criticized NFL referees for penalties called on hits to quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts during Week 3 of the season. Speaking on The Rich Eisen Show, Heyward argued that defenses struggle when allowing quarterbacks to play a game on the sideline by scurrying up or throwing passes out of bounds. He noted that defenders like Bears linebacker D'Marco Jackson received unnecessary roughness penalties for hard hits near sidelines and Miami Dolphins' Chop Robinson was penalized for hitting Mahomes after he threw from his own end zone.
