Bobby Brink's Wild Experiment Yields Scant Offense

Minnesota Wild general manager Mike Barture admits that acquiring Bobby Brink was not driven by his homecoming story but rather the team's need to strengthen their offense. While Brink arrived in Minnesota with a reputation for being a perfect fit on the third line, he has struggled significantly since then after an injury and limited ice time averaging around 13 minutes per game this season. Through eleven games so far, Brink has recorded five assists but no goals, contributing less than expected to make his lineup more dangerous.
