Bobb'e Thompson Sentenced To Federal Prison For Illegal Gun Possession

Actor Bobb'e Thompson received a federal prison sentence for illegally possessing a firearm. The 30-year-old star was arrested in September 2025 after Iowa police stopped his vehicle for speeding and discovered a stolen .40-caliber handgun inside, along with marijuana bags. Prosecutors stated the car was traveling at 104 mph in a 70 mph zone while Thompson pleaded guilty to the charge. Known for roles on NBC's '30 Rock' and MTV's 'Wild N Out,' he will serve 30 months followed by three years of supervised release under U.S. District Court Judge Leonard T. Strand. The Northern District of Iowa's U.S. Attorney noted his prior record includes convictions for battery, assault, and illegal firearm possession. Thompson remains in federal custody pending transport to a prison facility.
