Bears' Key Players Out as D'Andre Swift Ruled Out for Bengals Game

The Chicago Bears will be without starting running back D'Andre Swift in their upcoming game against the Cincinnati Bengals due to a chronic groin injury. Swift, who has never missed a game since joining the Bears, did not participate in any practices this week. Head coach Ben Johnson explained that Swift has been feeling the injury since before the Commanders game and emphasized the importance of protecting him for the season's duration. Along with Swift, running back Roschon Johnson is also out with a back injury, leading to rookie Kyle Monangai expected to see increased playing time. Monangai, who has shown promise with 81 rushing yards and a touchdown in recent games, expressed his readiness and goal to tire out the defense. Other Bears players ruled out include rookie Luther Burden III (concussion) and Dominique Robinson (ankle). Tight end Cole Kmet and cornerback Tyrique Stevenson are returning to the lineup after missing last week. The game is scheduled for Sunday in Cincinnati, with the Bears aiming to overcome injuries and improve their record.
