Giants Shift Arvell Reese to Edge Rusher After Burns Injury

The New York Giants are reconsidering their positional plan for rookie linebacker Arvell Reese following a significant injury to veteran Brian Burns. Since being drafted fifth overall, Reese has primarily served as an off-ball linebacker, but with Burns set to miss the remainder of the season due to a torn ACL, coach Mike Wilson indicated flexibility in utilizing Reese's edge-rushing skills more frequently. Currently, only 18 of Reese's defensive snaps have involved pass rushing attempts, yet he remains effective playing between the tackles.
