Msheireb Downtown Doha Prepares for FIFA Arab Cup 2025 and Related Festivities

Msheireb Downtown Doha (MDD) is fully prepared to host the FIFA Arab Cup 2025, with extensive activations planned from December 1 to 18 across key locations including Barahat Msheireb, Sikkat Wadi Msheireb, and Al Kahraba Street. The area will feature live match screenings, interactive football activations, live performances, and family-friendly experiences, making it a vibrant hub for football celebrations and cultural events during the tournament. MDD will also host the Arab Cup celebrations marking the start of Msheireb's Winter Season, running from December 2025 to January 2026, with cultural installations, art exhibitions, fashion pop-ups, and educational workshops to engage residents and visitors. Key partnerships have been formalized with Vodafone Qatar, BYD Mannai, Rafeeq, Visit Qatar, Qatar National Bank, and others to support the season's activities. The tournament will be held at six venues used during the 2022 FIFA World Cup, including Al Bayt Stadium, Lusail Stadium, Stadium 974, Ahmad bin Ali Stadium, Education City Stadium, and Khalifa International Stadium. The event features 16 teams divided into four groups, with the top two from each group advancing to the knockout stages, culminating in the final at Lusail Stadium on December 18. The tournament's fixtures, qualification process, and tie-breaker rules have been outlined, with matches beginning on December 1. The Arab Cup serves as a key preparation event for seven teams participating in the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
