Netflix Thriller Animals Features Ben Affleck as LA Mayor Candidate

Ben Affleck stars and directs the Netflix thriller "Animals," which premieres Friday. The film features a star-studded cast including Kerry Washington, who plays his wife in a political race for Los Angeles mayor that is threatened by kidnapping ransom demands. Produced by Artists Equity alongside Matt Damon, the movie aims to showcase an underseen side of Los Angeles similar to how Affleck approached "Gone Baby Gone." In August 2024, Luciana Barroso attended the film's LA premiere in a red hot pantsuit.
