Pumas Clash With América in Capital Derby as Both Teams Fight for Playoff Spots

The pride of Mexico City will be at stake this Saturday when Pumas and América face off at the Estadio Olímpico Universitario. For América, currently leading the table with Chivas and Cruz Azul on points but sharing them, a victory is crucial to maintain their position under coach Guillermo Almada in one of Mexico's toughest stadiums. Conversely, Pumas sits tenth and needs three wins from eight games remaining just to avoid elimination for Liguilla qualification; any loss would leave them without margin for error.
