Amazon Sends Up To $200 In Automatic FTC Refunds
The Federal Trade Commission confirmed that Amazon continues to issue automatic refunds up to $200 as part of a $2.5 billion settlement regarding deceptive Prime enrollment practices. Eligible U.S. customers who subscribed through specific flows between June 23, 2019 and June 23, 2025 may receive payments if they used fewer than 20 benefits in any twelve-month period following their subscription. Payments are being distributed automatically via physical checks or digital methods like PayPal and Venmo without requiring customers to file claims, though recipients must accept the funds within sixty days of issuance to avoid expiration. The FTC reported that Amazon has already issued over $845 million in refunds as of September, with all payments scheduled to conclude by April 2027.
