Braun: Chiles Earns Teammates With Desire To Be Best

Northwestern head coach David Braun describes former Michigan State quarterback Aidan Chiles as a player who has successfully won over his teammates through hard work and high character. Speaking to Barstool Sports, Braun noted that while the transfer portal process is often fast-paced like "speed dating," Chiles had ample time with Northwestern since signing because of prior relationships between him and former coaches Chip Kelly and Jerry Neuheisel in high school.

Braun highlighted that from day one, it was evident Chiles possesses high character, a team-oriented mindset, and a strong desire to be coached hard. He emphasized that Chiles wants to do something special and is willing to be pushed through the ups and downs of his development on campus. This dedication played a crucial role in Northwestern's recent performance.

In Saturday's blowout victory over Rutgers, Braun stated the Wildcats executed their "brand of football," with Chiles' brilliance and defensive takeaways making the difference between teams.
