ACL Festivalgoers with Disabilities Navigate Muddy Terrain

Festival attendees with disabilities faced difficult conditions during the first weekend of Austin City Limits Music Festival, struggling against deep mud that made walking and wheelchair movement hazardous. Veteran attendee Dawn Ogle required assistance from her husband to navigate slippery ground due to limited mobility caused by recent surgery and a brace. Another participant, Elliot Briones, became stuck in the muck twice on his motorized wheelchair despite organizers placing additional Mobi-mats and artificial turf walkways around Zilker Park.
