General Radosław Jaworski Appointed President's Security Advisor
President Karol Nawrocki has appointed General Radosław Jaworski, the former head of the State Protection Service (SOP), as his new advisor on security matters effective October 1. The appointment follows a decision in September to dismiss Jaworski from his post due to disciplinary proceedings initiated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration regarding personnel and financial irregularities at SOP. While President Nawrocki initially refused to accept General Radosław Jaworski's resignation, he later agreed after discussions with the general. Meanwhile, Interior Minister Marcin Kierwiński has convened an emergency meeting with SOP leadership following the president's rejection of a new candidate for head of SOP.
