Rising Property Fees: Residents Face Higher Czynsz Bills

Residents across Poland are facing increased property management fees known as czynsz effective October 1st.

In Gorz贸w Wielkopolski, the Dolinki Housing Cooperative raised rates for building maintenance to $0.24 per square meter and elevator upkeep by $0.80 per square meter. A resident in a 52.5-square-meter apartment reported an increase of nearly $37 monthly.

Warsaw's Domhut Cooperative increased its operational fee from $1.90 to $2.50 per square meter, citing rising energy tariffs and minimum wage increases as justification.

The Pilska Housing Cooperative in Pi艂a adjusted fees for water delivery and sewage removal due to changes set by the utility provider MWiK. Rates rose from $16.27 to $17.09 per cubic meter for residential units, while commercial spaces saw a rise from $19.32 to $20.39.

Residents in Legion贸w also face specific rate hikes on renovation funds based on individual property analysis.

Many tenants express frustration over the cumulative cost of maintenance, heating, and administrative charges, with some paying over $1,000 monthly for apartments in older buildings.
