MTN South Africa Appoints Muyiwa Ladipo as Prepaid Chief Consumer Officer
MTN South Africa has appointed Muyiwa Ladipo as the new Chief Consumer Officer for the prepaid segment, effective September 15, 2025. Ladipo, who joins from EE Mobile UK where he was a Pricing and Portfolio Manager, brings over 20 years of experience in telecommunications and consumer business transformation, including previous leadership roles at MTN Irancell and other global companies. His expertise includes strategic insight, operational excellence, and driving revenue growth, notably leading five years of double-digit growth at MTN Irancell and pioneering 4G commercialization. Charles Molapisi, MTN SA CEO, highlighted Ladipo's return as an exciting development for the company's prepaid business, emphasizing his ability to drive innovation, strengthen market position, and deliver customer-centric growth. Ladipo expressed enthusiasm about rejoining MTN and contributing to South Africa's connectivity future, aiming to unlock new opportunities and advance the prepaid segment. Ladipo holds an MSc in Business Consulting and Digital Transformation from SKEMA Business School, an MBA, and a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Lagos. His previous roles include positions at Ceva Logistics, Huawei Middle East, and Smile Telecoms. His appointment signals MTN's focus on expanding and innovating within its prepaid services, including efforts to increase adoption of affordable 4G smartphones.
