Marco Lodola's Illuminated Winged Horse Honored in Tuscany

A three-meter-high, colorful, and luminous winged horse sculpture by artist Marco Lodola has been donated to the Tuscany region, symbolizing the historical emblem of Pegasus. The artwork, which glows in red, white, blue, green, and yellow, was unveiled by Tuscany President Eugenio Giani during a brief ceremony and is set to be installed in Piazza del Duomo, Florence. Giani expressed that the sculpture is a contemporary and visionary interpretation of the Pegasus, celebrating the 55th anniversary of the Tuscany Region's founding, which was established in June 1970 with the Pegasus as its symbol. The installation aims to project energy and strength towards the sky, embodying a message of hope and future-forward creativity. Giani emphasized the work’s freshness, joy, and its outlook on the future, viewing it as a significant cultural tribute and a source of regional pride.
