Rams dominate Giants as Jaxson Dart exits with knee injury

The Los Angeles Rams defeated the New York Giants 28-6 on Monday night, marking a statement win for Super Bowl favorites Matthew Stafford and Davante Adams. The victory occurred after the Giants lost starting quarterback Jaxson Dart to a left knee injury during their first offensive series of the game. Jameis Winston replaced Dart, completing 11 of 27 passes for 111 yards but also throwing an interception.

Reports indicate that Dart has sustained a sprained medial collateral ligament (MCL). A preliminary X-ray showed no broken bones, and he is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Tuesday. If the injury proves severe enough to require rest or rehab rather than surgery, Dart could miss significant playing time. Jameis Winston will continue serving as the backup quarterback.

The Rams played without injured All-Pro defenders Puka Nacua and Myles Garrett but still outgained New York 481 yards to 182. Davante Adams recorded eight catches for 195 yards, including two touchdowns on Matthew Stafford's passes. This performance helped move Stafford into sixth place in NFL history with his 426th career touchdown pass.

Aaron Donald made his first appearance since January 2024 and recorded three tackles for the Rams. The Giants will face the Tennessee Titans next Sunday before hosting the Arizona Cardinals.
