Caleb Williams Carted Off Field With Hamstring Injury
Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams suffered an apparent non-contact hamstring injury during Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings at Soldier Field. The play occurred in the fourth quarter when Williams went down while scrambling on first-and-goal from the six-yard line with Chicago trailing 6-3. Reports indicate he appeared to be in significant pain and grabbed his right leg before requiring assistance off the field. He was transported by stretcher directly into the locker room following the incident.
Williams completed 15 of 26 passes for 138 yards, including an interception, while rushing for 42 yards on five carries during a rainy match that ended in a 9-3 loss for Chicago. After his departure, backup quarterback Tyson Bagent took over at center but was sacked by Dallas Turner on fourth down from the red zone to seal the game's outcome.
Although Aaron Jones had been listed as questionable earlier due to a knee injury, he returned to play against Williams' team.
