Widespread Break-ins and Local Incidents in Oberberg District
Multiple burglaries and criminal activities have been reported across the Oberberg district. Unknown perpetrators broke into a company in Windhagen between November 21 and early November 23, smashing a rear window to gain access. They rummaged through workshops and offices, but it remains unclear if anything was stolen. In another incident, early Sunday morning, suspects forcibly entered a factory hall on Robert-Bosch-Straße by breaking a window, with no confirmation yet of stolen items. Authorities request tips via the Oberberg police. Additionally, a traffic accident on the B478 in Waldbröl injured an 89-year-old man, and a young man was involved in a minor single-vehicle crash with significant property damage in Wülfrath. A witness successfully prevented an ATM burglary in Bergneustadt on Friday evening. Emergency services, including a rescue helicopter, responded to the accident in Waldbröl.
