Multiple Assaults in Calgary and Ongoing Investigations

A man was assaulted on a Calgary Transit bus in northeast Calgary Saturday afternoon, suffering non-life-threatening injuries after being struck in the head with a baton by another passenger. The suspect, described as an Asian male about 5’7”, with a slim build, missing front teeth, wearing black glasses and a long black trench coat, fled on foot after the attack. No arrests have been made yet. In a related incident, police are searching for an offender involved in an assault on a bus at 12th Avenue N.E. and Centre Street N.E., where a male victim was kicked and hit with a baton before the suspect fled. The suspect is described as a slim, adult Asian male, approximately 5’7”, wearing a black trench coat and black glasses. The victim was treated on scene and did not require hospital care. Both incidents are under investigation, with authorities seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspects.
