Dean recalled his first invitation to hang out on Keith's tour bus in Richmond, where he enjoyed Pendleton whiskey and heard stories about Keith's USO tours with Ted Nugent. Keith, who died of stomach cancer at age 61 on February 5, 2024, was celebrated for his patriotism and dedication to performing for U.S. military members through 18 USO tours, delivering over 300 free concerts in more than 17 countries.
